ArvinMeritor Introduces New Generation Air Disc Brake Technology to China Market

ArvinMeritor announced on May 6 that it will introduce the new generation of air disc brake technology, the ELSA225H2, to the Chinese market.

The ELSA225H2 is ArvinMeritor's newly developed heavy-duty air disc brakes for buses, coaches and trucks on 22.5 inch rims. It replaced the ELSA2 series of brake products on Meritor's original axles sold in China since 2002.

The air disc brake uses the ELSA225 series product technology that ArvinMeritor widely verifies and adopts in the European market, and adjusts it according to the actual situation and needs of the Chinese market. This air disc brake product has the following features in terms of design and function: 1) Reduce air pressure consumption and promote efficiency; 2) Lighter weight; 3) Suitable for 65mm stroke chambers; 4) Meritor (R) approved (MA) proprietary friction plate.

The ELSA225H2 offers more flexibility in installation. In addition to being used on Meritor's original axles, it can also be installed on locally designed and manufactured axle and suspension systems.
